Wedge Pond

Wedge pond is found just off Highway 40 in the Kananaskis region, featuring stunning views of Mount Kidd. From the parking lot, the pond is only a short downhill walk. Wedge Pond is filled by rainwater and glacier/snow runoff from The Wedge - the mountain next to the pond. The lake is great for paddleboarding, kayaking, and dog swimming. As most of the water is from glacier runoff, the pond is very cold, so swim at your own discretion. There are many day-use picnic tables around the parking lot and down the trail if you are planning on eating while you are there. The pond also features a short 1km trail around the pond.
