Barrier Lake

Barrier Lake is found just off Highway 40 in Kananaskis. The parking lot does fill up fast, so be sure to arrive early. The lake features stunning views of the surrounding mountains, such as Yates Mountain at the back. There is a large beach section as well. The lake is very popular for kayaking, canoeing, dog swimming. The lake us usually rather cold, so swim at your own discretion.
