Moraine Lake Shoreline Trail is a bucket list trail that everyone should do at some point. Moraine Lake is one of Canadas most recognizable views as it is one of the most picturesque lakes in North America. The sediment at the bottom of the lake makes it appear a unique turquoise blue. The trail along the lake is not very strenuous, however, it is recommended to be done before sunrise so you are able to get a photo of the sun rising from the back side of the lake.
There is no longer any personal vehicle access to the lake, so you must now either book a shuttle through Parks Canada (link below), bike in, or hike in.
*Service animals are allowed on the shuttle with proof of valid certification. Pets that are not service animals may be brought in a carrier designed to be small enough to fit in the owners lap for the entirety of the shuttle. In short - small pets are allowed in crates if on your lap, larger animals not permitted.
