Interlakes Trail is a nice section of the much larger Upper Kananaskis Lake trail. The trail starts from the northeast end of the lake at the Interlakes parking lot, and heads south along the lake all the way to the southeast Upper Kananaskis Lakes parking lot. The trail offers numerous stunning mountain and lake views, as well as trails down to the lake on the peninsulas if you or your pets are looking to go for a brief swim along the way.

This is a heavily trafficked area for both humans and bears, so it is recommended to arrive early and bring bear spray. We have seen a bear (both black and grizzly) every time we have been in this area.
