Edworthy Falls via Elbow Lake is a very cool trail in Elbow-Sheep Wildland Provincial Park. The majority of the trails incline comes right away in the first 1.5 kilometers as you head up the trail to Elbow Lake. Elbow Lake itself has plenty of great photo opportunities and features a backcountry campsite as well. Past the lake you traverse along a meadow with scenic mountain views. Either download the offline trail maps, or pay attention for the cairn (rock pile) on the lefthand side of the trail around the 5 kilometer mark. Once you reach the cairn, take a left through the trees, then there is a steep rocky descent to the waterfall. For safety reasons, I would recommend bringing poles to aid on the descent, as well as not going on a rainy day as the rocks may get very slippery. Make sure your dogs get down safely as well - it is doable, but may be tricky depending on your dogs abilities.

I would also recommend going early as the parking lot fills up fast from both backcountry campers and day-use hikers, as well as due to the limited shade along the meadow, it may get very hot on the trail.

Also pay attention to road closures along highway 40, the highway closes to vehicle traffic from December 1 - June 15, however, you still can bike or hike to the trailhead along that road.
