Coal Mine Trail follows a wide trail through the forest of the Nakiska Ski Hill (Mount Allan). Near the end of the trail you pass by an old coal mining hut. There will be an end of trail sign right before the meadow, but DO NOT turn around. Keep hiking passed the sign and walk into the meadow for some amazing mountain views. This hike has some great mountain views for fairly minimal elevation.

Bears frequent this area, so bring bear spray.
