Banded Peak via Alder Trail is a hike just a few minutes outside of Bragg Creek. This trail is a great hike through the forest up to a small lookout with a bench at the top. Unfortunately there are no "massive payoffs" like other hikes, but there is one small lookout of the mountains at the end. The trail is not too steep and very well maintained.

Once you are done the hike, go in town and go for lunch at the Cinnamon Spoon - it is a great local restaurant with home made sandwiches, coffees, and smoothies.
