Riverdale Off Leash Dog Park to Sandy Beach is exactly what is sounds like, and is a nice short trail. From the parking lot, follow the main trail parallel to the river in the trees until you reach the second offshoot on the right hand side. This trail will lead you to a dog friendly off leash beach. From here, throw a ball or sticks for your furry friend so they can cool down and have a nice swim.

If you are looking for a further walk, you can keep going down the main path and cross the bridge where there is a large playground, more beaches, and picnic areas. Sandy Beach is a fun area for all ages.

There is no sun cover at the beach, so wear a hat and put on some sunscreen.
